Stephan's Quintet in the constellation Pegasus is a visual grouping of five galaxies of which four form the first compact galaxy group ever discovered.

From top to bottom, left to right:
NGC 7319 1.5' Mag 13
NGC 7318A/B 1' Mag 13
NGC 7320 2.2' x 1.2' Mag 12.5
NGC 7317 1' Mag 13.5
The little galaxy on the left (NGC 7320C) is not officially part of the quintet, but may be in interaction.

NGC 7320 is not in interaction with the other galaxies from the group, being at an estimated distance of about 40 million light-years compared to the estimated 250 million light-years from the other members.
