NGC 672 is a barred spiral galaxy in constellation
Triangulum, at a distance of about 18 million light-years.
NGC 672 (top) is close in the sky to M33
the very nice local group triangulum galaxy.
NGC 672 is interacting with IC 1727 a magnitude 12 peculiar galaxy (below, right). A small very
distant edge-on spiral can also be seen.
On the bottom left of the picture lies Cr21, a small open cluster.
