NGC 4631 (also known as the Whale Galaxy or Caldwell 32) is an edge-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici at a distance of about 30 million light-years.

The small galaxy above NGC 4631 is NGC 4627, a nearby companion dwarf elliptical galaxy.
