NGC 5846 is a giant elliptical galaxy in constellation Virgo at a distance of
about 90 million light years from earth. It may be in interaction with NGC 5850,
which is a barred spiral galaxy.
Other galaxies visible on this image are NGC 5846A an elliptical galaxy visually close to
the 5846 core, NGC 5845 and NGC 5839.
